Yankees win series behind the rookie Nova
Ivan Nova the rookie who pitched fairly well in his first start on Monday got the nod today, and pitched the Yankees to a series victory against the White Sox. Nova pitched 5 2/3 innings and gave up the only run of the game for the Sox. Nova replaced Vasquez in the starting rotation this time around. From the way that he is pitching the Yankees should keep him in this spot and see what he could do... (continue)
Yankees have post season in their sights
With less than a month left to the season the AL East race is tight. The Rays who seem to year after year be the team to beat are tied for first place with the Yankees. It seems that every time the Yankees have the slightest lead they give it back to the Rays. The Yankees are struggling to keep them at bay with every game. With all the injuries that seem to be plaguing the Yankees in this second h... (continue)
Yankees Start Second Half on Good Note
The Yankees had a good start to the second half of the season winning 7 of the last 10. The Yankees are still mourning the passing of long time PA Announcer Bob Shepard and George “The Boss” Steinbrenner. Although they will both be greatly missed baseball still has to be played and the Yankees will honor them in every game. The Yankees also lost another member of the Yankee family Ralph Houk also ... Yankees looking for Sweep behind AJ
The Yankees are on a win streak and are looking to continue that streak tonight and sweep the A’s. AJ Burnett is going for the Yankees tonight and is looking to end the first half of the season on a good note. His last start all though not a win for him he pitched surprisingly well. I think it has to do with pitching Coach Dave Eiland’s return.
Alex Rodriguez is only 3 homeruns away from 600. He h...

Yanks Avoid sweep Behind A-Rod Home Run
After losing the first two games to the Mariners the Yankees looked to CC Sabathia to get them a win today. That’s exactly what he did with some help from his team mate Alex Rodriguez.  The Yankees are in first place of the American League East by only 1 game and losing again was not an option for them with the way Boston has been playing.
The A-Bomb from A-Rod was 595 career homerun! He’s be...

Subway Series tied at a game a piece
Once again baseball fans it is time for a subway series. Both Yankee and Met fans love the 6 games played every year between their favorite teams. In the first part of these 6 games the Yankees lost 2 of 3.  In this series when they lost 4-0 in game one I thought for sure they were going to once again lose the series to the Mets. The Yankees whose bats have been very quiet in the previous 3 g... (continue)

Jeter and Posada help Yanks win over Astros
The Yankees are once again enjoying interleague play. Last night the Houston Astros came into town and faced one of the best pitchers on the Yankees this season so far. Andy Pettitte took the mound and was his usual self.  After going 7 1/3 strong innings he left the win up to the bullpen.  Joba Chamberlain got the last 2 outs of the game and Rivera got save. With the win last night Andy... (continue)
